From 28th June 2021, we will be running a mixed timetable of in-person and online classes. We hope this offers the options you need in a way that feels safe.
We had also expected that from 21st June in-person classes would be free of restriction. However, recent announcements from the government mean that social distancing rules are still in place and will not be relaxed until July. Our in-person classes will therefore be limited in numbers.

‘Clare’s Pilates’ becomes ‘Body & Spirit’
Over the last few years, I have really enjoyed working with so many different people and building Clare’s Pilates. I have laughed and learnt a lot! And, in recent months, I have found a real passion for taking a deeper, more holistic look at health and wellbeing; and at how our physical and mental bodies interact with each other.
I was becoming increasingly aware that, despite our best efforts to keep fit or make time for ourselves, many of us are tired, ill or stressed; sometimes mentally and sometimes physically. It was the same for me, I was promoting health and happiness, but I wasn’t healthy or happy, and I wondered why. Over time and with a lot of personal work, I realised that in any given day I was many different things to different people. And whilst I loved all of these parts of me, they were not working well together, and it wasn’t clear who ‘I’ was. Because I wasn’t able to see myself clearly, I couldn’t see what I needed to keep me fit, well and able to serve others. The realisation dawned that a person needs to be balanced; mind, body and spirit, and that anxiety or stress are very often the causes of pain and physical imbalances and vice versa.
Out of my journey grew a desire to do more than teach Pilates. I wanted to facilitate and support people on their own path to health and happiness, whatever that looked like. So, as many of you already know, my Pilates sessions have become more mind-body focused, the Roll & Relax Workshops are now available, and the Yamuna® Body Rolling has been introduced.
Working in this way feels right and is really rewarding, and I want to do more. I really want to be able to continue my learning and to collaborate with other teachers to bring new techniques and practices to life.
Current classes and private sessions won’t change. Becoming Body & Spirit simply allows everything to come under one umbrella, and affords the opportunity to introduce all kinds of classes, workshops and retreats going forwards.
I would love to hear your thoughts on the changes and plans; and especially any ideas you might have for future classes. I am really looking forward to helping existing and new clients on their own, personal journeys to health and happiness. I am so excited to see what this year holds!
